Gas Recycle & Reuse Technology
The Linde Group is committed at the highest level to the development and promotion of technology to enable high technology industry to continue to grow in a sustainable way.
For Linde Electronics this means an emphasis on helping our customers to reduce their environmental footprint, lower costs and stretch the availability of limited molecules used in their processes.
The solar energy industry is growing exponentially as demand for renewable energy increases. SF6 is an important material used in the manufacture of solar energy panels. It is also a known greenhouse gas that has been targeted for reduction.
Linde Electronics have developed "RECOVER" - a unique process for recovering and recycling residual SF6 from the manufacturing process. This provides the combined benefits of reducing costs and essentially eliminating a major greenhouse gas from the process exhaust stream.
As the electronics industry develops new processes to produce the next generation of products, the demand for many of the rare gases is increasing. The limited availability of many of these molecules could present major challenges to continued growth in some sectors.
With our expertise in gas production and purification, many of our priority initiatives include the development of cost effective processes for the recovery of these molecules for reuse.
